Hysterical Paradise, 2008

Bandini Art, Culver City, California

Hysterical Paradise consisted of thousands of sculptures crafted from a myriad of materials, twelve foot plastic bucket fountain, a 30 foot wood and marble fence, wood trellis, and seven media pieces. The sculptures and architectural elements were created from materials scavenged from my previous exhibitions, which were then disassembled and reconfigured to create objects. This exhibition served as part of my doctoral exams. In 2010, I completed my Independent, Interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Art Critical Practices in Trauma Studies from UC Santa Barbara. My doctoral research fields included Art Theory Praxis, Film & Media Studies, and Germanic, Slavic, and Semitic Studies.
